Poems By Carl

Welcome to a place where words become keepsakes. I’m Carl, a creator of custom poems, and handcrafted plaques inspired by any stories, people, and landscapes. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, honouring someone special, or gifting something truly one‑of‑a‑kind, I craft pieces meant to last—emotionally and physically. Every poem is written just for you, shaped with care, and engraved onto wood that feels as meaningful as the message itself.

Valley Born of Sun and Stone

Where desert hills in warm winds rise,
and lakes reflect the open skies,
the South Okanagan shapes its wine
with sun‑kissed earth and patient vine.

The sagebrush breathes a quiet tune,
the nights grow soft beneath the moon;
the days run hot, the shadows lean—
a perfect place for grapes to dream.

The vineyards climb the golden land,
each row laid out by careful hand;
the soil holds stories, old and deep,
that every rooted tendril keeps.

And in each glass, the valley shows
its desert heart, its mountain rows—
a taste of light, of craft, of time,
the South Okanagan in its prime.

Crafted by Sun and Steady Hands

The South Okanagan’s desert air
rewards the ones who choose to care;
each vine is shaped by patient hands,
by growers who respect the land.

The summer heat, the evening breeze,
the quiet hum of working bees—
all join the craft that seasons bring,
a slow, deliberate harvesting.

In cellars cool, the barrels rest,
oak lending whispers to the best;
each vintage waits its destined span,
perfected not by chance, but plan.

And when the bottle meets the glass,
the valley’s hours, day by day,
reveal the truth the winemakers know:
great wine takes time to grow.

Where the Vine Meets the Sun

Along the hills where warm winds glide,
the vineyards sweep from side to side;
each row a ribbon, neatly spun,
where South Okanagan meets the sun.

The grapes grow sweet in desert air,
with patient hands to tend and care;
the soil sings its ancient tune,
and ripens fruit from June to June.

In barrels deep, the seasons rest,
oak lending whispers to the best;
each bottle holds a summer day,
a taste of light along the way.

So, raise a glass to lake and vine,
to hills that glow and wines that shine;
for every sip, a story told
of sun‑kissed earth and liquid gold.
